Lake Worth has offered Robert the job, but Glenn, Kathleen and Steve also applied, maybe they would like to be considered for the Homestead position.
LAKE WORTH — The city commission has scheduled a special meeting for 3 p.m. Saturday to interview candidates for internal auditor.
The internal auditor's position has been vacant for years but is named in the city charter as one of the top positions in city government selected by the city commission, along with the city manager and the city attorney.
The four candidates who applied for the internal auditor's job are:
- Robert Marksmeier Jr., a senior auditor for Miami-Dade County.
- Glenn Holloway, internal audit director for ALSAC/St. Jude, the fund-raising arm of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
- Kathleen Mathews, an auditor for the U.S. Department of Defense in Fort Meade, Md.
- Steve Wolkomir, a former auditor for the Lake County School District.
Commissioners are scheduled to choose the internal auditor at Tuesday's commission meeting.
The salary range for the internal auditor's job is $74,235 to $116,979.
