Photo Blog of Somerset Charter School's Traffic Concurrency: The HOMESTEAD Way = Schools Anywhere and Everywhere
Posted on 00:00 by Unknown
An alert reader sent the photos. This is one of the prime examples of a failure to understand how decisions made in council meetings impact existing neighborhoods. The photos are of Somerset at City Church. This is Northwest 1st Avenue and 16th Street.
The Keys Gate area particularly Kingman and Palm is another area of traffic mayhem all brought to Homestead by Mayor Bateman. Particularly worrisome are the u-turns from Kingman into Palm and back to Kingman.
Funny thing, this current reality was never presented by the Charter Schools when the council approved these schools because traffic mitigation impacts and the corresponding concurrency were bypassed. Save these photos for the next time a charter school applicant comes forward with a proposal. Wayne and Jose are you reading this?
