Could La LEY Have Information That Could Be Devastating To The Bateman Administration?
The Miami Herald has obtained the utility records of the La Ley Sports Complex at the City of Homestead.
Those bills show La Ley to be well over $46,000 in debt to the City of Homestead with more than $25,000 past due. The history of Homestead Energy Services is to shut-off customers first and then ask questions. However, Mayor Bateman told customer services to no longer shut off the power because their actions were going to cost Bateman his job as mayor. That was part of the transcripts from the waiver of utility fees involving Joe Strano.
The Herald through the City of Homestead Public Records of La LEY indicate La LEY has five separate accounts.
Account 001068561-000188095 has a $23,717.57 balance with $16,137.31 past due.
Account 001068561-000188105 has a $4,628.42 balance with $2,000.76 past due.
Account 001068561-000188115 has a $9,250.56 balance with $6,271.02 past due.
Account 001068561-000188125 has a $8,164.26 balance with $4,837.41 past due.
Account 001068561-000188135 has a $875.80 balance with $583.79 past due.
Customers of Homestead Energy Services should ask themselves if the City of Homestead would have allowed their utility bills to remain unpaid without any consequences.
So one has to wonder if the La Ley Sports people know something that is detrimental to the City of Homestead, all things being equal?
Does it have something to do with the lease deal? Someone else's lease deal? Other information?
