The City of Homestead Council Agenda has an item for an ALF, assisted living facility, to be built on the empty lot adjacent to the Oasis Publix and across Campbell Drive from Homestead Hospital. The developer is Professional Care I, Inc., owned by Helen and Jacob Shaham. Parcel to be developed is in red along with the one adjoining on the west.
As is their right the owners favor certain candidates over others. However, operating a facility where dozens of votes may have been cast housing elderly and possibly disabled and seems to restrict the access of other candidates. Again, is that fair?
