Felony and Misdemeanor Charges Face HPD Officers

Sergeant Jeff Rome being escorted by a PBA official after bonding out of jail on Monday evening. Sgt. Rome was Mayor Bateman's driver and security during election campaigns and was one of the first to arrive at the alleged sexual assault at a property owned by Mayor Bateman in 2010. The victim was advised to take a shower by officers thereby eliminating any trace evidence in the case.
